Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her performance in films and television since the late 1980s. Bassett, who was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born to New York New York, is well-known as an actress. At the age of Bassett was about five She and her sister relocated into St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who had divorced from their father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in highschool and realized that she was an actor and would like to be doing. The year was 1980 and Bassett graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. She was married in 1997. married Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1981. Masters of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School.
